The knife is everything that i expected. The locking system on the sheath, not really needed so i unscrewed part of the locking tab. I like to carry my knife on my left shoulder the button fasten works just fine when i undo the button i doesnt slide out. Since i like to wear it upside down i cut off everything but the nylon thats screwed on. the also works on a web belt. I've read other reviews if you dont like the locking system get a screwdriver and get rid of the little plastic part that locks it. I hsve never had a problem with somebody taking my field knife off my person but.. thats me. Buy this if money is an issue if not buy a real chris reeve knife

The knife itself is fantastic. perfectly balanced, well finished and strongly made. But the sheath is utter crap! I mean WTF? It must have three straps to carry at different levels and one really weird release. Get the blade and buy a better sheath.

This is a very solid knife. Good balance all around.

The only reason im giving it 4 stars is 1- the blade needed sharpening out of the box and 2- the sheath leaves something to be desired.

The sheath and straps was set up to be carried around your leg, but comes with way to many straps. I ended up cutting off the straps. The sheath will still work if you want to carry it off a belt. I was able to attach the sheath to a plate carrier at it worked pretty well.

all in all it was worth every penny.
